Borehole Logging

Where

Typically used to gather data about physical parameter variations along the length of the borehole. Most common physical parameters are density, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity, radioactivity and sonic velocities.

Advantages

Logging data provides information of the lithological units and boundaries (e.g. ore vs. no ore), geological structures, as well as mechanical properties of the rock.

Surveys

At the moment logging can be done down to depth of 2400 meters, but Geovisor is currently developing the measurement equipment for very deep drill holes. Borehole diameter can vary because the probes are always centralized. Some of the methods require water filling, but some can be done in dry drill holes.

Equipment

We use ALT and Geovista sensors. For deviation measurements is used Reflex products, such as REFLEX EZ-GYRO.

We have a really comprehensive range of different sensors used for borehole measurement, but if necessary, you can still ask us for alternative equipment. Geovisor has connections to equipment rental companies and an extensive cooperation network. Our staff has extensive experience in various geophysical equipment.

Data

Client will always receive quality assessed raw data from the loggings. Additionally processing, analysis and reporting of the results are executed according to contract.

Reporting according to request and introduction to the survey results will be done as requested.
